About Michael E. Ryer

Michael E. Ryer is a humanitarian leader, author and speaker whose work has centered on one persistent question: what can happen when ordinary people recognize where God is at work and faithfully respond?
He serves as President & CEO of Amigos Internacionales, a humanitarian organization whose roots reach back to 1967. His leadership has helped focus the organization on sustainable community transformation through clean water, education, healthcare, life skills, local church partnership and the MissionPoint model.
A Life of Service
Michael’s work has taken him into communities where poverty, disease and limited opportunity are daily realities. Those experiences shaped his conviction that humanitarian work should do more than meet today’s need. It should strengthen local people and institutions so communities are better prepared for tomorrow.
Author & Speaker
Michael has written on faith, leadership, hearing from God, personal responsibility and the choices that shape a life. His current writing project, Encountering God in His Word, grew from years of learning that Scripture is not merely information to master, but a place where believers learn to recognize God, trust Him and respond.
Leadership Philosophy
God is already at work. Our responsibility is to recognize where He is moving and faithfully join Him there.
That conviction connects Michael’s humanitarian work, writing and speaking. Whether discussing a rural water project, nonprofit leadership, succession or Scripture, his emphasis remains practical: see clearly, listen carefully and take the next faithful step.
